Where the Sidewalk Begins...

It’s time to return where the sidewalk begins,
To community life and where main street is king.

Where mom & pop shops prosper and grow,
No fear of going under b/c of no dough.

Imagine it…people everywhere –
in cafes, street markets, on foot and on bike,
There’s open conversation and friendly banter with neighbors alike

Dollars are spent supporting how we want to live,
Investing in small, local, and responsible biz.
Entrepreneurship, a just world, and ‘The American Dream’,
Let’s not loose these completely in a puff of magicians’ steam

Clean air, healthy food, local and sustainable goods –
these are the norm,
Perhaps this is our blueprint for weathering this economic storm.

Confidently we can go forward knowing this community will thrive
There’s a real sense of place, of belonging, of pride
